Landed at Brisbane Airport at 6.30am (their time, which is 4.30am) with just 2 hours of sleep. So freaking tired, but so totally in love with the weather here. I’m here for work, but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the cool, crisp weather that’s just so different from what’s plaguing SG right now.
Anyhows, Intel has kindly arranged transport to the hotel, Conrad Jupiters, on the Gold Coast. It’s about one hour by bus and everyone onboard feel asleep due to not getting enough on the plane.

Not the bus we tooked, but similar.
Apologies for the blur

Here at last.

After checking in and getting registered for the event and checking out the schedule, I decided to hop by to Pacific Fair, which is 5~10 mins of walking from the hotel.

The sky here is as pretty as I remember, with nary a cloud in sight, and I’m guessing I won’t have time to head down to Surfer’s paradise for a walk to see if anything’s changed.

Had the Neptune’s Catch (A$9.90 with an additional A$1.20 for tartar sauce) instead of Oporto Burgers (which I remember to be awesome, but there’s always tomorrow). I had forgotten about the portions here and was struggling to finish my lunch. Oh, a bottle of mineral water here costs A$2.80, which mades me wince inside while also cursing my bad memory on how they crazily hike drink prices here.

Headed back to the hotel at last, and concussed for 3 hours while catching up on sleep.
